Ingenious Corporate Finance acted as financial adviser to leading independent television production company, Talkback, on the sale of the company to Pearson Television (now Fremantle Media and part of RTL Group). The consideration was up to £66m.
Talkback, founded by Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones in 1981, had grown into one of the most successful independents with a long track record of producing innovative hit comedy and entertainment shows, including Smack The Pony, Da Ali G Show, I'm Alan Partridge, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and They Think It's All Over.
