19 Entertainment
In March 2005, Ingenious Corporate Finance advised Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, one of the UK's leading creators and producers of music based multi-media entertainment content, including the globally successful Idols, on its £100m sale to Nasdaq listed CKX, run by Bob Sillerman, the former founder of SFX Entertainment. CKX is building a music based content creation, ownership and exploitation business and had acquired a majority stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises in December 2004. Ingenious successfully positioned 19 Entertainment as a compelling acquisition for CKX and an opportunity for CKX to work with Simon Fuller on developing its global media content business.
For Ingenious Ventures which was a shareholder in 19, the transaction also secured its first realisation, representing a 5 times money multiple return and an IRR of 46%.
