Ricochet
In November 2005, Ingenious Corporate Finance advised Ricochet, the creator of leading independent factual entertainment programming, including the global hit Supernanny, on its sale to Shed Productions for a total consideration of £30m.
Ingenious were appointed by Ricochet to advise it on its strategy in the consolidating independent television production sector and, in evaluating its options, identified the highly complementary business and cultural fit with AIM listed, independent drama producer, Shed Productions. The combination of Shed's strength in ITV's drama schedule and Ricochet's long standing relationships with Channel 4 and the BBC in the UK and its success with network broadcaster, ABC, in the States, proved compelling for both businesses.
Ingenious led the negotiations with Shed culminating in the transaction. Both former Ricochet shareholders joined the enlarged Shed board.
