Ingenious Corporate Finance acted as sole financial adviser to sit-up and its shareholders on the sale of the company to Telewest in a deal which valued the company at over £194 million.

From its launch in 2000, sit-up had become one of the fastest growing and leading TV retailers in the UK, having pioneered the interactive live auction channel ''bid tv'' and its innovative falling-price sister channel ''price-drop tv''. With distribution across cable, satellite and terrestrial digital TV, sit-up broadcasts over 12,000 hours of live television each year.

Ingenious were engaged in 2004 to advise the company on a potential sale and provided advice on strategic options to all shareholders before advising management and other selling shareholders on the recommended unconditional cash offer made by Telewest, then its largest shareholder, in May 2005.
