This touching story is centred on nine-year-old Frankie and his mother, tenderly played by Emily Mortimer, who in the hope of protecting her only child from the truth about his father, fabricates a story that very shortly will confront her with the daunting choice of either admitting the sad reality or finding the perfect stranger to play the part of Frankie's father for just one day.
