Set in South Africa this is a powerful story based upon the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings. Samuel L. Jackson plays a journalist from the Washington Post who meets local radio journalist Juliette Binoche at the hearings. The deeply affecting accounts they hear lead them both to question their identities. Where do they belong? How responsible are they for what was done in the name of their respective countries? This is a story of love, forgiveness and the constraints of cultural identity against a political backdrop.
