In addition to being a Non Executive Director of Ingenious, Richard is also Chairman of a number of businesses in the digital media space.
From 1984 to 2000, Richard was part of and led top rated analyst teams covering the UK and European media sector at James Capel, Smith New Court, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers and Citigroup. From 2000 to 2003, he was Co-Head of all European Equity Research at Citigroup, and a member of Citigroup's European Operating Committee. Under his management Citigroup's research department moved from 7th to 1st ranked in external surveys.
After leaving the City, in 2005 Richard joined the board of online market research company Research Now, which he helped build from an IPO at 130p to a sale in December 2009 for 430p which valued the company at over £85m.
