Responsibilities
Martin advises the Chief Executive on government relations and public affairs, and speaks for Ingenious on matters of public policy.
Previously
Martin began his career at the National Consumer Council (1979-88) where he was Senior Research Officer, Parliamentary Officer and subsequently Head of Public Affairs. Martin then became Managing Director, and subsequently Chairman, of Government Policy Consultants (GPC) Ltd. From 1997-2003 he was a partner at the Brunswick Group LLP, where he worked on public affairs and corporate PR assignments and started the firm's Russian practice. In 2003 Martin set up West Bridge Consulting Ltd, an advisory consultancy specialising in creative economy and creative industries' issues, which he still manages alongside Ingenious commitments. He was chairman of the Young Vic Theatre Company from 1998-2003, and is currently an adviser to the European Commission's high level working group on Creative Content Online.
